Earlier this week, WVU Hospitality Group’s BeWell campaign helped students learn how to eat to beat inflammation with a delicious snack that proved healthy food can taste amazing.
Students sampled walnut cookie butter served with crisp apple slices, a sweet and satisfying combination packed with nutrients that support heart and brain health. Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help reduce inflammation, while apples offer antioxidants and fiber for lasting energy. If you missed the table, you can still make this snack at home. See recipe below!
This month’s BeWell theme is a good reminder that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, the simplest foods can have the biggest impact.
